Project:
Supply a wall and ceiling system for new salmon processing facility.

Project Manager:

Challenges:
  1. Materials had to withstand salt- water environments.
  2. Ceiling panels had to be easily removable for electrical and plumbing work.
  3. Grid & panel system traditionally used, were light duty and difficult to maintain.
  4. Wall panels had to cover different substrates from wood studs to poured concrete walls.
  5. Class A fire rating was required.
Solution:
Installed Hunter Ceiling System with H.D. anodized grid, using 4 x 4 Sanicore Panels.
• 4 x 4 panels were used for easy handling.
(Sanicore Ceiling Panel has a fluted plastic core with a .060 Class "A" skin laminated to one side. Overall thickness: 1/2")

Installed Sanicore wall panels 4 x 11, 4 x 12 with Hunter's unique threshold extrusion joining system.
-Threshold System, give an extremely positive seal on all vertical joints and provide USDA and AGR. CANADA recommended wall to floor joint detail. (Sanicore Wall Panel: .090 Class "A" skin laminated one side of fluted plastic core.)

Area:
Walls: 11,000 sq.ft.
Ceilings: 18,000 sq. ft.

Installation provided client with an extremely durable and serviceable system. This system was designed to provide for a minimum of 10 years service under existing usage.
